The Erosion and Sediment Control Program was established in the 1990s as mandated by the (DCR). Before a land disturbing activity over 5,000 square feet occurs in the City of Danville, permits must be obtained. This insures that the activity complies with all laws and prevents any soil and sediment from washing into our public waters. When contact is made with the City of Danville, the city will help determine if the owners need to obtain additional state permits from DCR.
